MISIS/Focus reporting is NOT user friendly. Simple, flexible, point-and-click format is needed.
MISIS reports and Focus should be much more flexible and user friendly. There is not even half of the flexibility in reporting than was available through the ancient Legacy SIS system. Reports and data that were accessible in 1 or 2 minutes on SIS are much more difficult to access on MISIS, if they are available at all. For instance, printing IEP information sorted by SPED teacher is impossible in MISIS, but was easy in SIS. Information regarding demographics, attendance, mark reporting is all much more difficult to obtain from the system when it should be easier, given the modern computing power we have now versus when SIS debuted. Why not have a system similar to the Legacy SIS to pull information, just in a point and click format? The Focus format is limited, terrible to work with and takes far too long to process.

Welligent is not flexible, either. Reports are static and cannot give info like room number, grades, or athletic eligibility. Sp Ed was used as an example only. MISIS cannot currently give info such as class schedules sorted by RSP teacher, or meal eligibility for ELD students, or addr/phone/athletic eligibility sorted by PE teacher, as was easily done in Legacy SIS. That is the flexibility we need.

Focus is absolutely no help for the main office. It is time consuming, not user friendly, and we simply just don't have the extra time for this.

I hear you. I have had the pleasure (saying this sarcastically) and this is definitely not user friendly. To be able to access one report, you have to select all information detail you will need plus create filters and God forbid you don't save this report. I agree, the reports need to be more like the Legay SIS system.
