Students who are new to the district cannot have their grade edited by counselors prior to the first day of school.
If the individual who input the student's grade incorrectly input the grave level, there is no way of correcting that mistake until the first day of school. This is stressful for students because they are in upper division courses and their grade level could indicate 9. Teachers may tell them they do not belong in their upper division classes. Also, parents of these students will be upset because the grade level is incorrect on the first day of school.
