Emergency Contacts should be input by parents
There should be an electronic version of the emergency contact card that the parent fills out. MISIS should pull the information from that electronic card. There is too much room for error having office staff hand enter what parents have hand written. Some cards are not legible; example 1 is mistaken for a 7, etc. Having the parent enter the emergency information and then MISIS pulling from that information would be so much more efficient as well as lesson the margin for error.
