PSA needs a report that lists absences by date
As Pupil Services & Attendance Counselors, we look at student absences on a daily basis. In ISIS we were able to print student absences in a list view; all of a student’s absences & tardies were listed by date. This report was called Student Attendance History by Class. It was a crucial report for when meeting with parents, for attach to letters sent home, for SARB, etc.
This report does not exist in MiSiS and PSA has been waiting for years for it to be added. This report would literally save us hours of time. Currently, to get a list of absences for a student, we print the Uncleared Absence letter & the Attendance Referral. Then we have to manually look up each date on the Attendance Referral & hand write it onto the Uncleared Absence letter. To do this for an entire grade level takes hours.
Currently the Attendance Referral only lists the dates of tardies & leave earlys at the bottom. Can you please add Absences (all types: A(UC), A(0), A(1,PM), A(2), etc) to the bottom of the Attendance Referral as well? This would be the quickest solution to this problem. This issue has been addressed through a new report in Focus. The report was created by a MiSiS team member wtih input from PSA staff Giselle Szemeredi (who submitted this idea) and Maricela Velis.
The report “2017-2018 Student Absences by Date” was placed in the Pupil Service shared folder, where any PSA team member can access the report.
