Make all reports have the same data.
Attendance referral report and IGP data should match. Attendance referral separates full day absences and periods absent. AGP has both sections but adds full day absences to periods absent . ex. I was absent 1 full day and missed 2 additional classes. Referral shows 1 absent and 2 periods absent. the IGP shows 1 day absent and 9 periods absent. (7 classes per day plus the 2 periods)

Attendance Referral Report
On the Attendance Referral Report why doesn't have both parents on it? If child lives with both parents, it should be both listed. Don't need the Emergency Contact on it. Also, the teacher and room come up blank.

Question: RE: attendance and Field trips
is it correct to input attendance FT but then they come in two hours before dismissal and i go back and change to present for the rest of the day. I do it because of liability issues but i am correct changing it. I print the attendance audit report and it is explanatory. I hope you can help.

A period by period attendance reports for the same day for all students.
I would like to be able to pull period by period attendance reports for the same day of attendance for selected students or groups.

Uncleared Attendance
Please update the report to also have Cellular phone number and not just Home and work as most parents only have a Cell these days.

Fix problem
The Submit Attendance button continues to disappear. It happens several times during the day. I have to go all the way out and log back in in order to continue with my work.

By including a 10 column roster option like we had before.
Currently MiSiS only offers a 5 column roster which forces us to use much more paper throughout the semesters. If we had a 10 column roster, teachers could include 2 weeks of attendance on one sheet of paper instead of the current 1 week of attendance. Enter same reason for consecutive absences without having to change one day at a time
Students that are absent for many days consecutively; it would be very helpful to have just one button to select same reason for all absent days, same as the "select for all days" button that allows you to select many for present, absence etc.

DON'T delete attendance taken in a period when counselors add/drop students
Currently, when a student is added/dropped in a period, it deletes all the attendance. Then we get a phone call "You didn't take attendance!!!!" even though we did. Especially if we have big classes and a lot of tardies, it is a pain to input attendance again, and impossible if the teacher isn't keeping a paper record.
1 voteCurrently, if a student is going to be added/dropped, the effective date in the new section is the next day if attendance has already been taken. Can you please contact the help desk and give them the steps you are following when this issue occurs so we can investigate it further.

different slots to enter attendance
if different slots were available we can enter if a student is tardy and use a different slot if student might leave early that same day. right now we over write tardies with early leaves when that happens or when they return from "doctor appointments" their attendance becomes present or tardy but we can't indicate on misis records that student had previously arrived tardy or left early.

UnCleared Absences Report for the Summer
Please provide the UnCleared Absences report to be used for the summer intercession. Why hadn't it been in operation during the summer school period?

add day of week with absence date like it used to be
Please bring back the day of the week next to the date of the absence. Our school does a rotating schedule and knowing the day of the week helped us process absence notes much faster.

Need to update teacher discrepancy reports for kids who only show up to one or two periods
MISIS will generate a discrepancy report if the student misses more than half the day. So when they only show up to one or two periods, even if the absence is excused, it will still print the discrepancy. We need a way to stop that from appearing everyday even after the teachers have confirmed that the student was in class.

The Teacher Discrepancy Report lists student(s) for days in which attendance was not submitted or was entered as Present (tardy, left early, absent with a reason code that equals present) in a class, but was entered as Absent in all other periods. This rule was provided by Budget Services as a Present in only one period/class for a day is subject to scrutiny by auditors. The Update Attendance screen, located under the student profile Attendance tab, now includes a Verified column. When office staff check off this box, that student and date will no longer appear on the Teacher Discrepancy report

Wait times for many features are excessive
The wait times for features such as Academics > Grades, Attendance > Reports > Uncleared Absences, etc. are quite long at times, often exceeding a full two or three minutes, and often producing no results at all. The refresh times for almost all functions of MISIS could stand to be improved. There are still many times per day that MISIS is uncooperative or unresponsive for even the simplest of functions. System dependability and speed need to be improved overall.

Include weekday in Update Attendance Codes
Is it possible to show the day of the week when a date(s) is selected in the Update Attendance screen? Our school has a professional development schedule day in which students are released early, and it would help to be able to see what week day we selected while updating attendance to make sure the times are accurate.

Please Set Default List to Be Alphabetized By Last Name
Please set the last name column of attendance rosters to be listed alphabetically.

contrast colors
In General, is it possible to have darker backgrounds for ease of accessibility? I have vision problems. To help this I enlarge the screen and I enlarge the text in the Web browser, but the MISIS platform does not have much contrasting colors. Especially in entering the attendance, it is hard to see who you are marking late, absent etc. It is time consuming to line it up and that takes away from Instructional time. Perhaps it can be an option which could activated for those who need it. MOST apps or platforms now have a dark or high contrast…

UnCleared Absences Report
Please show me how to run different queries of information when I run the UnCleared Absences Report. I want to view specific information in MiSiS before exporting it and reformatting it in Word or Excel. AS
1 voteThe Uncleared Absence Report does two things.
1) Generates a list of students with Uncleared Absences based on the parameters entered. This list includes student’s home address, contact information, and total number of Uncleared Absences. The report can be exported using various formats, Excel, PDF, Word, CSV, etc.
2) It also generates a Parent Letter for all students on the list, indicating dates of all uncleared absences within the date range of the parameters. Parents can enter the reasons for each absence listed, sign and return the letter to the school.
