Alerts/codes on attendance page
We used to be able to see a list of the alerts students had right on the attendance page. Now you have to click on each individual student to go to a new page and see their alerts. I just had to spend 20 minutes going through one class to check if any students had IEPs, 504s, or health concerns when it used to take me 20 seconds to scan my eyes down the page.

Make it more obvious how to move from one class to another. Misis displays the first advisory and the only apparent advance towards another

MISIS IS DOWN ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MORNING
Why MiSiS down or super slow every single day? It really affected our productivitiy and efficiency.

Connect BlackboardConnect to MISIS
This way teachers can contact parents and not waste time documenting it in the contact log. This would be helpful for progress in class, as well as attendance and behavior issues.

Allow the teacher to see all of his students in one roster.
In our previous version, we had the ability to show a roster of all of our students throughout all classes. This allows to look up a student more quickly particular when students migrate between a teacher's classes. Also, during parent conferences it is quicker to have one roster with all students rather than individual class rosters.

Allow student data screens to print on one page instead of four! It used to be this way until a few yrs ago.
This problem happens on multiple student screens, including Attendance, Enrollment History, Student Testing, etc.
1 voteScreens are meant to be actionable. Several reports are available depending on which information users need print.

put a delta on the tardy entry time
Recording the entry time is distracting. Say I know a student is 5 minutes late... how about I enter "5" in the "Minutes late/early" box. The computer could calculate the actual time (if anyone cares).
Isn't "5 minutes late" more useful to all parties than "arrived at 9:17"?
If it comes down to a court case, the day's schedule could be factored in.
I said "minutes late/early" because the same scheme could be used for Left Early"

I need to be able to print out the 5 column roster
I need to print out the 5 column roster on a weekly basis. Why did this change happen without informing the people that actually use MiSiS- the TEACHERS!!!!!
2 votesPlease note that a MiSiS system message was displayed in a month and a week prior to the screen going live. Teachesr can continue accessing the Reports by clicking on the Home menu located on the top right corner of the screen.

PUT THE IMMUNIZATIONS BACK ON THE P.A.R.
EXTRA PAPERWORK IS INVOLVED WHEN CHECKING OUT A STUDENT. NOW HAVE TO PRINT YET 1/2 MORE PAGES TO GIVE TO THE STUDENT/PARENT. CONVENIENT WHEN ENROLLING A STUDENT. IF IT'S NOT BROKE, STOP TRYING TO FIX IT. WE CLERICAL ARE ON MISIS EVERYDAY 6-7HRS, 5 DAYS A WEEK. ISN'T THE IDEA TO MAKE THINGS A LITTLE EASIER FOR THE STAFF? JUST AN IDEA.
2 votesRequest was made by Nursing Services. Also, Student Transfer Form only needs to be generated for students leaving the district. Immunization info does not need to be provided to withdrawing students. The parent will need to present immunization card when enrolling in the new district. For students continuing in LAUSD, the data is available in MiSiS.

Seating Charts
Sizable tiles would be convenient for space management in seating charts

Bring back "ALL STUDENTS"
As of today (and of course, without warning) the option to click on ALL STUDENTS is gone. Some schools have periods where attendance is not taken daily (could be a 0 or A period). Now, I cannot access data on those students because that given class isn't listed that day. This is bad.

Make "2" be the default for tardiness
Nearly all tardy students do not have passes.

Seating Chart
I would like to have the option of selecting multiple students and move them on the seating chart instead of moving one student at a time.

Under Attendance update it would be nice to be able to input student's return time.
Add a box to input return time for students who go to doctor's appointments or therapy.

Make sure Alpha-order matches other applications specifically Schoology
My period 3, students seven and eight are in reverse alpha-order from MiSiS Five Column Report to Schoology gradebook. This has been a continuing problem for the last few years. Since we use the five column report to temporarily record scores and then transfer them to gradebook, this continually causes data entry errors which affect student grades.

Have a student's current absences and tardies visible in the main screen.
It would be very helpful to be able to glance at the attendance screen and also the MISIS Grade Passback screen, and be able to immediately see the up-to-date number of absences and tardies the student has.
