Hey, so why is misis requiring TWO submissions for roll to take???
It takes upwards of 2 submissions for the roll to take, sometimes as many as 4.
This is unacceptable.
This bug needs to be fixed.
Please address immediately.

It would be very helpful to have the current date pop up when updating attendance for the student or changing an absence to tardy
Instead of having to search for the current date on the calendar, have actual date and if need to another date can be searched.

Emergency
When updating emergency cards every year. There needs to be a screen exactly like the emergency card, it is hard to keep jumping from screen to screen.

Contact Log Bulk Entry Action
I am reaching out today because Teachers have been mandated to record Contact Log information for students to document outreach attempts, but we currently only have access to updating one student at a time. This means that a secondary teacher with a roster of about 150 students has to click on every period's roster, then a student, then the Contact Log, then the + entry for contact log, enter each item, submit, repeat 150 times. This NEEDLESSLY takes HOURS to do, is repetitive and untenable. Teachers desperately need the "Contact Log Bulk Entry" Action option (that roles like counselors have)…

Enable "Mass Update Contact Log" for Teachers
Please allow Teachers access to do a Mass Contact Log for their classes and enter parent/home communication notes in MiSiS.

Automated Attendance Calls Home are Scary
Can you imagine getting a call that says, "Your child was either one minute late to school or absent. If you have any questions, please call the school." That is essentially the message these automated phone calls scare many parents with!
To some parents, that is like saying, "Your child either scratched his elbow or is dead. If you have any questions, please call the school."
How hard can it be to have the system tell the parent that, "Your child was late by 5 minutes." or that "Your child is absent."? Be more specific!

Automatic Population of Student Addresses During Student Enrollment
I still need to input a student's address multiple times while enrolling a new student? Why? The older version of MISIS required me to input a student's address at least 3 times, (student, and then once for each parent). The current version of MISIS requires me to input it at least twice (once for student, then for the first parent). MISIS should require me to input ONLY once for the student and then the system should allow me to just click to verify the same address for any parent.

Seating chart
Can you make it so we can set front or back? It would seem that if I am looking at the seating chart I would want it reversed with the back being at the top and front at the bottom. This way it is not inverted.

Edit button
It would greatly help schools if MISIS would not suspend certain functions., i.e., edit buttons to update information for student and parent address, permit types, etc. Everything that we plan to accomplish before the first day of school is wrecked by the poor planning and coordination on MISIS end. We do not have a lot of time to get certain work done before students come. Please take into account all the problems that are caused at school site when MISIS has issues.

FOR THE MAGNET PROGRAM IF WE CAN NOT EDIT THE HOME ADDRESS FOR INCOMING STUDENT UNTIL THE 1ST DAY THEIR BUS INFORMATION WILL NOT BE CORRECT

Radio button to pull emergency contacts for one sibling to another
When emergency contacts are identical for siblings, is it possible to have a button/choice that allows emergency contacts for one sibling to feed into the other siblings emergency contacts
Same with parent info if identicalThank you

Under Attendance update it would be nice to be able to input student's return time.
Add a box to input return time for students who go to doctor's appointments or therapy.

edit new incoming students
I been informed that we can not edit incoming students until the first day of school. LAUSD put the SAS, OE and Magnet students into our data base automatically and now I can not change address or enter permits until the first day. The beginning of the school year is so busy, to wait is such a inconvenience.

Emergency Contacts should be input by parents
There should be an electronic version of the emergency contact card that the parent fills out. MISIS should pull the information from that electronic card. There is too much room for error having office staff hand enter what parents have hand written. Some cards are not legible; example 1 is mistaken for a 7, etc. Having the parent enter the emergency information and then MISIS pulling from that information would be so much more efficient as well as lesson the margin for error.

Bring back one-click functionality and auto-select on Students (attendance) tab
The giant revamp eliminated the one-click functionality for attendance (clicking attendance code once to move from Present to Absent, twice for Tardy...). Also, instead of simply pressing ENTER twice, removed was the auto-select of the OK button on pop-ups for "are you sure you want to submit roll?" and "you just submitted roll," both of which are already unnecessary AND NOW additionally require the clunky use of the mouse.
Please reactivate these time saving shortcuts. Thank you.

The old UI was better. A single click changed from present to absent. Now a precise drag is required.
Instead of scanning down the list to find the next absent student I have to focus on the pull-down menu. One single click was changed to three steps (click - move - click) and the precise move required forces me to focus on the box removing my focus from the paper attendance sheet.
This change creates an opportunity for errors to enter. Before, a single click changed the status to absent. That has a very low chance of error. The newly required mouse movement/selection is not so robust.

We need to be able to print our seating charts!!!!!
